We spent a few weeks enjoying the wonderful California beaches and wine trails. The water was really cold, but amazing!
Visit to the California Wineries in Santa Barbara Posted on: 2/13/2009

We spent about 4 days traveling around the different wineries and visiting the lavender farms.
Best Part Of Event: We ended up purchasing a couple bottles of wine and siting outside in the fresh air enjoying our new wine tastes.
Worst Part Of Event: We ended up taking a 10 mile hike and forgot to bring water. It was about 95 degrees, we wore sandals and one of my sandals broke.
What I Would Do Differently: Try to visit a few other wineries.
Special Preparations: We got our tickets about 2 weeks earlier and found a great deal on the airlines website. Non-stop! Purchase your tickets around mid-night. They have lots of sales then.
What Happened: We traveled around the wine trails in Santa Barbara during the day and then spent the evening enjoying the nightlife.

Spent a nice long day at Zuma Beach enjoying the high waves.
Best Part Of Event: The weather!!
Worst Part Of Event: I kept swallowing salt water.
What I Would Do Differently: Nothing. It was great.
Special Preparations: Bring lots of sun block. I got burned on the first day.
What Happened: It was a wonderful warm day. We spent about 6 hours on the beach, surfing and hanging out in the water. It was amazing.
